Ontario's four largest real estate boards have an agreement to share real time access to each others' MLS listing information.
The Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB),the Realtors Association of Hamilton-Burlington, the London St.Thomas Association of Realtors (LSTAR) and the Ottawa Real Estate Board.
I, being a member of LSTAR have found this access to be quite helpful. I can search and view the active listings and recent sales history of the other boards with two years of ACTIVE, SOLD, CONDITIONAL SOLD AND PENDING SOLD information in all listing classes through Connect.
The commercial listings include four years of history. 
Other real estate boards have been invited to join.
Connect does not however serve as a substitute for local board or association membership or full functionality of the local organization's MLS system.
